Shouldered AI  /  For solo lawyers and small law firms

You be the lawyer. We shoulder the rest.

You went to law school to practice law, not to chase invoices and return intake calls at 9 pm. Shouldered gives your firm one HQ that runs intake, billing, deadlines and client updates on its own, and hands you only the things that need a lawyer. Your client files stay in your own system, and you decide and sign everything.

What keeps you up at night

"I lose good matters because nobody calls the lead back."

Tabitha at the Service Desk answers new inquiries the same day, gathers the facts you ask for and books the consult, so the lead is on your calendar instead of in your voicemail.

"My billable hours leak out between the cracks."

Matthew at the Finance Desk prepares invoices from your time entries and sends them once you approve, then follows up politely on the ones that sit unpaid.

"I am terrified of missing a deadline."

Nehemiah at the Operations Desk tracks every deadline and filing you enter for each matter and reminds you well ahead, so dates live in one place and not on sticky notes.

"Can I trust AI near my client files and trust account?"

Your client files stay in your firm's own system. We prepare and track; trust account reminders and every decision go to you to approve, and we never give legal advice.

What your HQ does

Simon and seven desks of Heroes, working for lawyers.

Simon · HQ

Gives you one short morning summary of new matters, money owed and dates coming up, and answers for all seven desks.

Tabitha · Service Desk

Answers intake calls and web inquiries, collects the facts you need, flags names for your conflict check and books the consult.

Deborah · Legal Desk

Tracks conflict checks, deadlines, filings and bar renewals for every matter and puts each one in front of you before it is due.

Matthew · Finance Desk

Prepares invoices from your time, drafts trust account reminders for you to approve and follows up on late payers.

Nehemiah · Operations Desk

Keeps each matter organized, sends clients plain status updates you have approved and prepares engagement letters for your signature.

Silas · Marketing Desk

Asks happy clients for reviews, keeps referral sources warm and posts the practice updates you sign off on.

Simon runs HQ: all the tech and all the brain power, and the one you talk to. Each of the seven desks is run by a Hero, and Simon directs all seven and answers for them. A person approves what matters, and legal, tax, medical and financial decisions stay with you and your licensed advisers.

A day with HQ running

At 7:30 you read Simon's summary: two new intake inquiries came in overnight, both have consults booked and their names are queued for your conflict check. Three invoices from last week's time are drafted and waiting for your approval, and a reminder about a trust account transfer sits next to them. A filing deadline is nine days out on the Ramirez matter, so the draft task is already on your list. By lunch you have billed, approved and spent the morning in court, and the clients got their update without you writing it.

An illustration, not a promised result.

How the math works

Start

Most solo lawyers and small firms start with the Small HQ (up to 5 seats, 80 hours a month) at $750 a month paid for the year (Founding price: $500, first 50 companies only), plus a $1,000 onboarding. Intake, billing follow up, deadline tracking and client updates are the first things Shouldered.

Grow

Your firm runs on it first. When it is working, you can give each of your clients an HQ of their own at $750 a month, so the businesses you represent get the same help you do.

Your Hero is here to improve the human. Your HQ, led by Simon, is here to improve your business.

Your investment

Two prices, and 50 Founding places.

First, what the work costs you today. A full-time office manager runs most small businesses about $4,000 to $5,000 a month with taxes and benefits, and goes home at five. Every call nobody answers is a job that goes to someone else.

Business coaching often costs $5,000 to $7,500 for one session day. HQ does the work every month, with a coach running the Shouldered Way and workshops included. Already have a coach? HQ works alongside them.

Prices are per month. Only the first 50 companies (the Founding 50) get the Founding price with a two-year commitment, paid yearly by bank transfer, and keep it for as long as they renew. Pay yearly by bank transfer and take 3% off. Onboarding is $1,000 for Small and $2,000 for Medium, paid once, and free at Shouldered events. It is one 1-hour call: technical setup with our technical team first, then your business with our team. The person who sold you HQ joins your onboarding call. Paid for the year, you get a named person who checks in every month. Month to month gets standard support. Twenty-one people and up is built around you. More seats are $25 each (Founding price $20), and more hours $12.50 each; hours count only while HQ is working, like minutes on a phone plan.

Enterprise and government. For large companies and public agencies. Custom plans start at $5,000 a month. Pilots are paid. We start SOC 2 Type 1 work in 2027. Texas agencies: we are working toward TX-RAMP.

The six-month guarantee · HQ plans

If HQ does not complete at least 40 hours of real admin work a month for you in your first six months (100 hours on Medium), tell us by the end of month five and we refund every dollar you paid for the plan.

The onboarding fee is not refunded. The guarantee asks one thing of you: let HQ do its work. Give it the access it needs and review its work in good faith. If our records show you kept declining or blocking the work HQ set out to do, the guarantee does not apply. If we see that happening, we tell you in writing so you can fix it.

The six months start the day HQ goes live for you. The Founding 50 are included. The guarantee covers HQ only, never coach fees.

Questions lawyers ask
Do my client files leave my system?

No. Client files stay in your firm's own system. HQ works alongside it to prepare and track, and you decide what it can see.

Will it give legal advice or sign anything?

Never. It prepares drafts, reminders and updates. The lawyer decides and signs everything, and legal judgment stays with you.

How does it handle conflict checks and trust accounts?

It tracks that a conflict check was run for each new matter and prepares trust account reminders for you to approve. It does not make the call or move money on its own.

How fast can my firm go live?

Law has a ready template, so firms often go live sooner than the 30 day onboarding window. We start with a 7 day trial environment set up for law firms. The Hero is available now at $25 a seat a month. HQ launches in December 2026, and the founding list is open today.

What if it does not help?

If HQ does not complete at least 40 hours of real admin work a month for you in your first six months (100 hours on Medium), tell us by the end of month five and we refund every dollar you paid for the plan.
